About This Program
Nevada's Educational Choice Scholarship Program (also known as the Opportunity Scholarship) provides tax-credit funded scholarships for low-income students to attend private schools. Corporations receive 100% tax credits for donations to Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs). Maximum scholarship of $10,094 per student for 2025-26, increasing annually with CPI. Covers tuition, fees, and transportation costs.
Eligibility Requirements
Students must come from families with household income at or below 300% FPL. No prior public school requirement. Corporations receive 100% tax credits for donations to SGOs. Total credits claimed cannot exceed approximately $6.7 million, limiting participation to roughly 1,800 students (less than 1% of Nevada's K-12 population). Maximum scholarship increases annually with CPI.
